plaiceA popular flat fish Plaice has soft flesh and a delicate flavour and is recognisable by the orange spots on its upper side. It's available to buy whole or in fillets all year round. Plaice cooks very quickly - it should only need a total cooking time of 4-5 minutes, whether grilled, fried or poached. Head, tail and fins have been trimmed.
